TISSx Workshop at Hyderabad (20.03.17- 24.03.17)
In September 2016, CLIx organised the CLIx Open Online/Ongoing Lab workshop to introduce implementation field teams to the CLIx platform. The second edition of the workshop was conducted at the IASE-Hyderabad campus during 20–24 March 2017. Implementation teams from Rajasthan, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh and Telangana attended. Besides reporting implementation status and sharing experience, the teams learnt about the complete teacher professional development (TPD) offerings, that is, the postgraduate certification course for teachers designed by TISS.
From this academic year, TPD offerings will be delivered through the new TISSx platform. The field support team and teacher educator will orient teachers to the 15-hour foundation course, which will be conducted in clusters. Teachers in one area will get together in one school to work through the TPD platform and modules like Email, Inkscape, Mindmaps, Telegram and Libre office and Participate in online community of practice. After FSP orientation on foundation course, Respective state implementation teams prepared cluster-level TPD schedules and structured plans of action for the following three months.
In preparation for implementation, the team members went through the entire foundation course in the workshop. The CLIx Technology team introduced the student platform, too.
The implementation team introduced the implementation monitoring tool. Implementation data will be collected from three different platforms: the IMT tool, the issue management tracker and student platforms. The Dashboard will be customised to suit each CLIx team’s requirements. Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan team members tested the IMT tool in a government school near Hyderabad. At the end of second day, the CLIx Science team explained their modules and discussed their implementation requirements.
On the last day of the workshop, the CLIx state implementation team managed to visit few government schools in Warangal and Karimnagar to observe ICT infrastructure, to interact with Mandal coordinator.
