Project Description
Tata Trust initiated the idea of building and implementing at scale, a technology-enabled learning intervention for rural Indian high school students. Tata Trusts then invited MIT to build and design this program in partnership with TISS and other local partners. This initiative was conceptualised as Connected Learning Initiative (CLIx).
Tata Trusts are amongst India’s oldest, non-sectarian philanthropic organisations, and work in several areas of community development, guided by the vision of their founder Jamsetji Tata. Tata Trusts seek to be catalysts in development through giving grants to institutions and executing large projects in the areas of Natural Resources Management, Rural Livelihoods, Urban Livelihoods and Poverty, Education, Enhancing Civil Society and Governance, Health, and Arts and Culture.
