The mission of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology and other areas of scholarship, and to work with others to bring this knowledge to bear on the great challenges facing the world in the 21st century.

In keeping with this commitment the Institute, drawing upon its extensive experience in the areas of learning processes and educational technologies, as applied in a variety of settings across the globe, has partnered with the CLIx project. The MIT team includes members from the Office of Digital Learning (ODL) and The Education Arcade (TEA). The teams have been supporting and guiding CLIx through tasks that include curriculum planning, design principles and discussions, production planning and logistics, communication and documentation, and overall coordination.
