Educational Festival and ICT Mela (21.02.18-23.02.18)
The All-India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival (AICEAVF) aims to promote creative expression among educational media professionals, teacher educators, teachers and students. It is one of the major children’s educational festivals organised by the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT, Delhi. This year, it was held on 21–23 February 2018 at the Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal.
The All-India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival (AICEAVF) was inaugurated by Prof P. K. Varma, Vice Chancellor of Barkatullah Khan University, Bhopal. The festival showcased the best audio, video, new media and ICT materials produced in school education. The over 50 participants included national ICT awardee teachers and representatives of international bodies, NGOs, state government organisations and corporates. They showcased innovations in ICT use in education across the nation.
From CLIx, Vikram Chourey, Pallavi Seth and Amol Gopnarayan participated in the ICT Mela. Using two laptops and one LED screen, the team presented the student modules and the teachers’ certificate course offered by CLIx. During the three days, the CLIx stall was visited by teachers, teacher educators, parents, media persons and other delegates, who greatly appreciated the offerings. School students loved the activities and games on the platform and were very excited to explore them. Students from the Regional Institute of Education (RIT) said they liked the content, hands-on activities and digital activities, which could help them in their lesson plans. The NCERT director also visited the stall and appreciated CLIx efforts towards quality learning for children and professionals development for teachers.
The wonderful closing ceremony was attended by NCERT director Prof. Hrushikesh Senapaty andactor Mukesh Khanna was also present.
For CLIx, it was a rich experience of interacting with students and various other stakeholders and being introduced to innovative initiatives inthe use of ICT in education.
