Project Description
Established in 1982 with the vision of “Meaningful education for all to build an egalitarian and just society on the path of sustainable development”, Eklavya believes that the education system needs innovations that respond to the needs of children and redefine the role of teachers. Apart from its work in rural schools in several states, Eklavya was involved in the policy consultations that led to the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005. It seeds and nurtures curricular change programmes in education at the micro level, and mainstreams them through the government and NGOs. Ekalavya’s role in CLIx involves developing content material for CLIx Science. It will also help in rolling out the programme in Chhatisgarh as an implementation partner for the state.
