State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Andhra Pradesh was established in 1967. After the creation of Telengana state, SCERT Telangana became a separate entity in June 2014. Its objectives include the continuing education of Teacher Educators and teachers, and keeping them abreast of the latest educational developments by serving as a clearing house for ideas and information. SCERT also provides academic guidance to schools through extension services and undertakes studies, investigations and surveys to evaluate the impact of educational  programmes It publishes printed and audiovisual materials and coordinates action research projects on instructional practices, educational problems. SCERT has taken the responsibility of rolling out CLIx in Telengana.
